Where the helicopter ends, the adventure begins.

The Troll Peninsula is one of the last great untouched ski frontiers on earth — a vast, largely unexplored Arctic wilderness in Northern Iceland where the mountains rise straight out of the sea. Here, you ski from peaks all the way down to the shoreline of the North Atlantic, with no lift lines, no crowds, and often no tracks but your own.

Heli-Assisted Touring is the best of both worlds. A helicopter does the heavy lifting, then you earn your turns the way ski-touring lovers cherish — skinning up between towering peaks, into silent valleys few people ever reach. New to touring? Ski beneath the midnight sun in spring, or chase the Northern Lights in early season. Powder, spring corn, untouched lines — and at night, a hot tub, a sauna, and a 4-star ocean-front room waiting in the fishing village of Siglufjörður.

A typical day, run by run

The helicopter lifts you to the first summit, and you carve your opening descent through untouched snow. At the bottom, you fit your skins and climb back up alongside your guide — then ski down for your second run. As you finish, the helicopter is already waiting to lift you to fresh terrain. You ski your third descent, switch back to skins, and earn your way to the top once more. Your fourth and final run of the day brings you down to the valley, where the helicopter collects you and flies you home to the clubhouse — and a well-earned meal and après-ski.

Typical heliskiing day*

1. 07:00–09:00Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel to fuel up for the day.
2. 08:30–09:00Pick-up for a quick 3-minute drive to the Clubhouse, where your skis or snowboard await you for a day of fun and excitement. Our guides will review the day's plan, ensuring you are well-prepared and informed.
3. 09:45–10:00Helicopters are ready to take you on an exhilarating day of skiing.
4. 12:30–13:30Get ready for lunch with a view! You will get the opportunity to enjoy your meal with stunning views and great company.
5. 15:00–16:00Return to the Clubhouse, where après ski awaits. Delicious, freshly prepared food and a variety of drinks to refresh your body and mind. Here you have the chance to talk about the day and exchange stories, photos, and videos with upbeat music in the background. You can also head back to the hotel for a dip in the hot tub, explore the town, try kayaking, visit the local brewery, or join some of the other activities we offer before it's time for dinner.
6. 20:00A three-course dinner will be served at the hotel. Throughout your stay, you will get a variety of dishes locally sourced from Icelandic nature, such as cod, salmon, lamb, and more. After dinner is the perfect time for drinks around the fireplace.
